My son and I were hugely impressed with the standard of Julia’s teaching. She was very thorough and had a good way of explaining the more difficult concepts, going over them again and again in different ways until students ‘got it’. She managed to encourage a relaxed atmosphere in the lessons without compromising on work ethic. The most impressive thing was that she made herself available out of class hours to help individual students. To quote my son: “She’s the most dedicated teacher I’ve ever had.” Really, nothing was too much trouble, and she was very approachable. She also gave detailed and helpful feedback on home assignments, and lots of encouragement. We cannot recommend her highly enough and are delighted we just happened to come across her advert at the right time for the one year computer science IGCSE course. My son gained an A*.

I just wanted to recommend the online courses from Learntec. My son took the IGCSE Computer Science course with Julia and we found out this morning that he got an A*. As I know nothing about Computer Science, I can’t take any of the credit for helping him through the syllabus.

I just want to thank Julia Roebuck for her great computer science igcse online course. My son has completed the IGCSE course with LearnTec, he was quite anxious about learning as part of a group but he thoroughly enjoyed the course. The online classroom was a perfect learning environment for him to regain confidence. The course is very well taught and organised and students are well supported. We are just entering into our fourth year studying with Julia.
My eldest son has enjoyed her KS3 and IGCSE courses (achieving an excellent grade in the latter) and is looking forward to now continuing with the Post-IGCSE course. His younger brother is just starting the KS3 course and it’s highly likely that their sister will follow suit in a few years’ time!
My son says “Julia’s a really good, nice teacher and takes the time to make sure everyone understands what she’s teaching.”

As well as providing consistently high-quality, computer science tuition, Learntec worked exceptionally hard this year to ensure our son was able to secure a Centre Assessed Grade as a private candidate, and receive recognition for all his hard work (he got an A*!). This was not to be underestimated given that the entire group of HomeEd kids were registered with different exam centres across the country. This was our 3rd child to undertake the IGCSE with Julia and all have enjoyed the classes and done well, with our 4th child about to start her 2-year IGCSE class. Thank you Julia!

As a toddler, my (then) non-verbal autistic child communicated her love of computers very strongly. At the library story time she would escape and squeeze under the library bookshelves and any gaps and stop as soon as she reached the computer section. Years later she asked to be enrolled on your Key Stage 2 course for Home Educators and it was the beginning of a love of learning. She went on to do the home educator Key Stage 3 course and the self-paced Python courses for beginners and then to do your IGCSE course which she loved. It was a funny old end to the course when Covid arrived, but Julia worked with our exam centre to secure a grade for my child. My daughter got a grade 7 and was over the moon. I can highly recommend all the LearnTec courses and Julia has been on hand since those early days to advise and support. Thank you so much!

My son completed the one-year IGCSE Computer Science Course with Julia, Learntec. He enjoyed and benefitted from Julia's clear explanations and rapport with her students. Julia always responded promptly to my sons queries and with her indepth knowledge and expertise guided him successfully through the course, pre-release task and the exam preparation to achieve a Grade 8.
Summer 2020 was exceptional with the Calculated Grades. Julia worked tirelessly with different Exam Centres in the UK to ensure that the work and achievements of her students was acknowledged, and genuine exam grades awarded. A HUGE thank you for all the work you did with O since KS3. We are so pleased we followed a recommendation to take your KS3 course where you instilled a love of programming and the computer hard drive stuff in him. He always looked forward to your lessons and I really appreciate all the thorough planning and exam preparation that you did later in the IGCSE course. Having a revision plan was so helpful (one that I didn't make!). He was thrilled to get a 9 as this subject was somehow very important to him. Thank you is not really enough 😃
